God never lets go
There are times when we think God is not with us or that He has forgotten all about us.
The truth of the matter is … He never lets go.
He is ever present and watches of us to ensure that we fulfil the purpose He has given us.
Are you in a storm of some sorts or feeling alone, vulnerable and unsure?
Rest assured that God is with you and He will see you through
Let the words of this song minister to you.
Realize that He will never let go of you
Be Blessed
If God is for me …
Are you in God’s will and facing opposition?
Rest assured that God will ensure that His will comes to pass.
Why?
Because in All things
God works for the good of those who love Him,
those who have been called according to His purpose.
For those God foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of His Son,
And those He predestined, He also called;
those He called, He also justified;
those He justified, He also glorified.
And because of this,
if God is for us, who can be against us?
This is what I say to any obstacle that stands between me and God’s will,
If God is for me, who are you?
What’s your confession when you have issues and challenges?
Learn to speak to your challenges.
Make them realise they will not have dominion over you.
Your God is bigger than any problem and He has the solution.
You have to confess it, believe it and walk like an overcomer.
No one can do that for you.
Just remember, nothing can stand in the way.
Why?
because God will do what He says He will do.
If you need encouragement
Take heart and know He is for you.
Meditate on the words of this song and let them minister to you.
Be blessed.
Sincere and Passionate
Sincerity and passion always make things happen … or do they?
Take a look at this.
Ashiq is the kind of guy I want on my team. He has several things going for him, namely:
- passion
- sincerity
- belief
- vision
However, he lacks the critical thing that brings everything together for success … Skill (talent or knowledge).
The ‘funny’ thing is, because of his passion, I found myself rooting for his success and was a little disappointed when he was not given the chance to prove himself.
Lesson learned from video:
-
It’s easy to place people in positions because you like their passion or vision even though they don’t have the skills to make things happen. (This happens a lot in Churches, volunteer organisations and family run businesses.)
-
Whenever assessing yourself or others for any position, it’s important to look at both ‘ability and desire’. The Bible actually talks about why ‘zeal must be matched with knowledge‘ in the book of Proverbs.
-
Placing a ‘square peg in a round hole’ can do a lot of damage or lead to suboptimal results. Had the judges allowed Ashiq to continue, all they would have done was to lower standards and delay the inevitable … him getting voted out in subsequent rounds.
-
Saying ‘No’ can be the best thing for both parties. The judges did Ashiq a big favour because he can either acquire the necessary skills and try again or find another avenue to achieve his goals.
Are you sincere and passionate about something? Do you want to ‘save the world’ or start a business?
Whilst your heart may be in the right place, take time to develop the skills needed to make your dream come true. Polish your gift and and it will make room for you.
Be blessed.
Be Bold!
Is something making you afraid? Maybe you have to make a presentation to your boss, ask ’someone special’ out on a date or have a legal battle ahead of you?
Whatever it is, fear and anxiety are not always bad because they are natural emotional responses to threats and danger. Like with most things, so long as you are in control instead of being controlled, it can turn out to be something positive. It becomes a problem when you allow it to paralyze you and stop you from becoming all that you ought to be.
The emphasis is on YOU because YOU have to confront fear and anxiety and move in the direction that gives victory. This requires boldness, which is a willingness to get things done despite the risks you may face.
Listen to these little kids sing about why you ought to be bold and strong.
Be bold because God is with you. Christians are blessed because we have God Himself promising to help us when afraid. Whenever fear creeps in, we need to ask ourselves if we are walking in faith and have a victorious mindset? If not, then we need to spend more time in God’s word and learn about His promises.
Listed below are just a few of His awesome promises:
The Bible is full of many more such promises and knowing and acting on them should give you the confidence to pursue your goals. You have a choice – either believe God and His word or forget about Him (and all the other promises He has for you). Choose to believe and fill your mind with His promises!
Afraid? … feel the fear and ‘do it afraid’!
Be blessed.
It Is Well
Crises, Troubles, Mishaps … is this ever going to stop?
Sometimes when ‘bad’ things happen to ‘good’ people it’s easy for one’s faith to be shaken. Many times, due to the personal nature, we magnify the situation and think all is lost.
I have found out that the best was to deal with such things is to 1) commit it into God’s hands and 2) put it in perspective. That’s why reading the Bible and listening to other people’s experiences are so important because you then find out your situation is not unique. What you thought was pretty bad, may be ’nothing’ compared to the trials and tribulations of others.
With this in mind, please spend a few minutes watching this video.
What trial are you facing right now? Is it more horrendous than what Horatio and Anna Spafford went through? Not trying to belittle your situation, but their story shows that good and inspiring things can come out of tragedy. Despite pain, and personal losses over a period of time, a song was written that has brought solace and peace to countless people over the years.
Let me ask you this; can any good come out of your situation? With God, YES! Because in Him brighter days are ahead. This tragic story, and that of Job, should encourage you and make you realise that with God’s help you can overcome any situation or loss … so long as you make Him your anchor.
Whatever it is you are going through, by faith you must believe ’It is well’! You must believe deep in your heart that ‘all things will work together for your good because you are called according to His purpose’.
God can be found in whatever you are going through … you just have to look for Him.
Believe this and act on it.
Be blessed
He is always there
Does all seem lost? Do you look at your situation and think there is absolutely no hope this time?
Take a good look at the picture below? Look and look again.
When times get tough, it’s easy to feel alone and exposed like the baby lion above BUT we must realize that, those who are with us are more than those against us. God has said in His Word that He will never leave you nor forsake you, so He has literally ‘got you covered’.
Feeling alone, abandoned or helpless? You need to get some praise into you so let the words of this awesome song encourage you today.
When you are feeling down, Look up … Look up to your source. Know where your help comes from. He has everything you need to make it through whatever you are facing right now.
Be blessed.
Dont Give Up
I just can’t take it anymore, this is just too much! Its too difficult and not worth continuing! I GIVE UP!
Ever felt that way about a situation? It doesn’t need to be a ‘big’ problem and could be anything from studying for an exam or trying to make your marriage work. Maybe you just started a business and the recession hit … you now think it was the biggest mistake ever and feel like throwing in the towel.
As a Christian, you can feel a lot worse and even betrayed, especially if you feel it was all God’s idea and He has somehow ’let you down’. You begin to doubt your faith and your ability to hear from God. You can also count on the ever present accuser to sow doubt and these nagging questions in your mind; ‘Did you really hear from God? Does God exist? and ‘If God exists, how could you have been so wrong’?
Giving up then becomes an option … but before you make that move, listen to this song.
Valley experiences can be difficult because when you look up, all you may see are mountains of ‘problems’. This is when you need Godly perspective because in trials it depends on what you look for and see AND whether you think the trials are there to ‘make you’ or ‘break you’.
Some will see these ‘problems’ as opportunities for growth … how about you?
David went through a lot, BEFORE and DURING the time he was king and yet, he was victorious because he saw God in his trials. What did he do to overcome?
1) he waited patiently
2) he searched for God, and
3) he worshipped God.
He overcame trials because whenever he ‘walked’ into a valley he knew God was with him … and guess what, God is with you too.
God will not give you more than you can bear because He has given you the grace to go through it. Don’t stop praying for that child or marriage. Don’t stop fighting that disease or let that situation defeat you.
Giving up is always the easiest option. Remember that weeping (pain, frustration, discouragement, failure) may endure for a night but joy (success, victory, release) comes in the morning.
Keep on keeping on and God will see you through and give you the victory in His own time.
Be blessed
‘Dry’ Seasons
The constant thing about seasons is that they always change.
Depending on where you live, you will experience either the Rainy and Dry season or Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall.
Our Christian walk also has seasons and there are times when we do not feel close to God. This can be magnified when we lose something important (e.g. job, money or a loved one). It’s like the goal posts shifted and God moved along with it. In times like this, the devil discourages and tries to stop you from praying to or praising God.
Dark times are when you need the light of God most and if you have difficulty praying, get into His presence with good worship music. If you are going through a dry spell, let this song minister to you.
Dry seasons are particularly tough because things do not easily flourish BUT they are times of preparation, strengthening and refocusing.
All I can say is NEVER stop praising God. Open your mouth and He will fill it with goodness. Shout to God with a voice of triumph. Paul and Silas praised their way out of prison and you will break out of your ‘prison’ through praise.
Create an atmosphere of praise, in and around you, and He will meet you at your point of need.
Be blessed
He Knows
Where is God? How could He allow this to happen to me? Does He not know what I am going through?
There are times when life seems so unfair and you feel you have been left on the dust heap. When it seems like no one (not even God) cares, it’s easy to start questioning your faith and wonder if God is real.
This is when you need to remind yourself of the following:
- God has you inscribed in the palm of His hand
- Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord will deliver them
- God will not allow you to go through more than He knows you can bear
- Gods’ plans for you are plans of peace and not evil, to bring you to an expected end.
If you are going through a difficult time, let the words of this song minister to you.
Turn over your issues to Him in prayer and believe that He will meet you at your point of need. If possible, find someone you trust and ask them support you in prayer.
Be blessed.
Leading the way
Do you think being a father is easy? If you do, please get in touch as I would love to learn from you.
Fatherhood, whilst a joy, has its challenges because as we lead our children along the narrow path we have to ensure we stay on track too. The same pitfalls that can trip them up can cause our downfall too … and we have bigger feet!!!
As Christians, we are blessed because Jesus never sinned, He lived our life, He overcame sin for us and He is the only person who can help us navigate the walk of life. We should teach our children to follow Christ’s example … and we should too!
Life has its ups and downs and there are times when you may fail yourself, your loved ones and your God BUT remember that Jesus is love, He is very forgiving and He wants you back.
Don’t run away from Jesus, run to Him!
Please take a few minutes and let this song tell you of His goodness and love for you.
Fathers, You must be a Godly guide to your children. You must be in their lives to model God’s way – You cannot outsource this responsibility. You may have your own issues and difficulties but so long as You ask for His guidance and listen to His directions, You will get the power to live a victorious life.
When you are struggling and feel like giving up, DON’T. Just walk with Him, talk to Him, hold on to Him and He will lovingly restore you and make you the man He created you to be.
Be blessed
